Iran dubs US report on religious freedom in Iran as invalid

Marzieh Afkham said that the recent US State Department about religious freedom around the world including Iran was invalid and rejected all claims within the report adding that “Islamophobia growth in the US, systematic discrimination against Muslims in this country and all kinds of restrictions on religious minorities there has made it the major violator of religious rights in the world.”

She pointed to the ceaseless efforts of Washington justifying Zionists’ brutal crimes and actions and said that “wide-ranging support by US for Zionist regime and discrimination against other Abrahamic religions’ followers in the besieged land leaves no reputation for it to judge or advise others regarding religious freedom and rights.”

“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s constitutional law respects all the divine religions and their freedom to observe rituals and ceremonies” asserted Afkham and added that “such reports are instruments prepared and broadcasted with the mere goal of piling up pressure on other countries which have no legitimacy.”
